Rainbow Meditation

After completing the rainbow exercise I felt more relaxed but I don't think it had anything to with the rainbow visual.  I think it was mostly a result of distraction from my typical thoughts.  I have done this exercise before and each time I wasn't that impressed with it.  I am much more of a fan of the visualizations I can relate to, like the mental visits to a tropical beach or other relaxing places I have been before or would like to go.  I don't know if it is just me or not, but the guy that does these recordings is a little distracting to me.  I know he is supposed to sound relaxing but I feel like he is talking to me as if I am a kid.  He has that "Here you go hunny, don't spill it" tone in his voice, and I think I start focusing more on that than the actual exercise for awhile!
